What is the Little Lions Academy?
Little Lions Academy, formerly known as HUSL, is a program designed specifically for beginning soccer players ages 5 - 8. Soccer skills will be developed through instructional practice sessions and balanced, competitive games. Our primary goal is to introduce soccer as a great way to have fun, while inspiring a love for the game and preparing players for a future in competitive soccer.

FORMAT:
Little Lions Academy is divided in 2 segments
Spring/Fall and Winter Skill Training
PROGRAM SCHEDULE:
6 week session program
Fall Season starting on September 15th 2011
Winter Season stating on January 18th 2012
Spring Season starting on April 12th 2012
WHEN:
Fall and Spring
Thursdays
6:30 to 7:30 - U5/U8 Boys and Girls (Indoors)
Sundays
4:00 to 5:00 - U5/U6 Boys and Girls (Outdoors)
5:00 to 6:00 - U7/U8 Boys and Girls (Outdoors)
Winter:
Wednesday
5:00 to 6:00 - U5/U8 Boys and Girls (Indoors)
WHERE:
HSC Indoor/Outdoor Training Facility @ Sport Zone, (1100 N. 18th Ave. Hiawatha, IA)
COST:
$90.00 (covers both fall/spring sessions)
$50.00 Winter Skills
PLAYER EQUIPMENT NEEDS:
Shin guards, Soccer Socks (covering shin guards), Water bottle, Size 3 Soccer Ball, Shoes (cleats or tennis shoes)

COMPETITION We create a healthy environment for players to explore their competitive nature. Development is the key and winning is the byproduct.
TWO PROGRAMS AVAILABLE
U5-U6 HUSL Core Program Players will be introduced to the game of soccer with an emphasis on working in small groups. Age-appropriate fun activities are designed to develop coordination with the ball while learning the fundamental elements of the game.
U7-U8 Academy Prep. Program Led by staff coaches and assistants from our U9-U10 Academy program, the focus is on learning the technical skills, training techniques and mentality that will prepare players for competitive soccer. Emphasis is placed on having fun while developing a love of and respect for the game of soccer.
